Most of us use mobile devices to browse the internet or to do daily tasks throughout our daily lives. In this case, it is important to watch out for people who may be watching you key in information without you even knowing it. This is why you should keep your mobile devices updated and protected. You can keep them updated and protected by doing the following:

  1. Create a password for your device when you turn it on
  2. Make sure that information is not exposed for hackers and scammers
  3. Make sure that all apps and software are updated successfully
  4. Beware of sites that are not trusted
  5. If you do not want to share information with others, adjust your settings to where you and your family can only see your information on your device

Many of us also have social networking apps on our devices. They often include, Facebook, and Twitter. Social networks are where people who are not authorized to share or view your information are most likely to get your information and expose it to many other people who could be scammers or hackers. If you use your mobile device be careful with using social networking because a lot of people that you think are good can in fact turn out to be someone suspicious. It is very critical that mobile devices should always stay updated and protected because your stored information may otherwise be lost as well.
